As reported by Le Journal de Chambly, Pascale Floyon was ordered to pay back nearly $160,000 within a ten year period.

Floyon had embezzled the money from Sainte-Angele-de-Monnoir parish and was sentenced to 15 months in prison along with the ten year pay back period. From 2013 to 2019, Floyon forged more than 460 cheques and misappropriated funds.

The total amount lead to $250,000 found in embezzled money but she only admitted to $160,000.

During this time period of 2013-2019, Floyon dealt with the tithe money, where several hundred dollars were handled. She also used the cemetery account, noted at $40,000.

Despite all this, Floyon is still employed with the church as socio-economic research and planning officer at the Commission des normes, de l'équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CNESST).

Spokesperson of the CNESST, Nicolas Begin, claims that Floyon still has a right to work under the Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms, section 18.2.

Her condition to work would be working with two other responsible individuals aware of her background as well as not being able to handle money in the job she is working. She is also unable to work with any bank notes unless her name is on them.
