Bell Stolen from Exaltation of the Holy Cross Ukrainian Catholic Church in Alberta

Between July 19 to the 24 in Hay Lakes, Alberta the Exaltation of the Holy Cross had its' church bell stolen, as reported by CBC News.

The church is located 600 kilometres south of Edmonton. RCMP spokesperson, Cpl. Susan Richter stated that it would have taken possibly 3 people to remove the bell and that it was fairly large.

The bell was also attached to the bell tower, meaning whoever removed it would have had to climb up and cut through the bolts used to keep it in place.

The bell had been part of the church since the 1930s and the value is unknown.
