After the arson of St. Timothee Catholic Church in Shemogue, New Brunswick, Samuel Vautour's charge of arson was dropped, according to CBC News.
Vautour appeared in Moncton for his court date where his charge of arson was subsequently dropped by the Crown. The Crown dropped the charge because it was not in a position to prove the accusation of Vautour committing the crime, says defence lawyer, Alison Menard.
Menard then states that Vautour was relieved that the charge was dropped and wants it to be known that he was not guilty of this crime and not responsible for the arson.
