Man Charged in Vandalism Incident at Queen of the Rosary Church in Quebec

According to Planet Network, Lee Burton, the man responsible for vandalizing Queen of the Rosary Church in Chibougamau was released after being arrested.

Burton had vandalized the entirety of the church during the evening of Sunday into Monday morning. He faced several charges of vandalism and uttering death threats to the sacristan who was present at the time.

Later, Judge Pierre Lortie gave conditional release to Burton with the following conditions: keeping the peace, not partaking in drugs and alcohol, meeting with the psychiatrist and ensuring that he will do all treatment and stay at the facility where he has been placed and following their orders. He must also attend his court-ordered appearance.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 19.
