As reported by Ici.radio-canada.ca, items worth thousands of dollars were stolen from Paroisse Sacre-Coeur in Chicoutimi, Quebec.
Hervé Berghella, police spokesperson details that multiple items including ciboriums, crucifixes, chalices, monstrances and water founts were taken. It is believed that the individual(s) gained access by smashing a stained glass window that was not well seen and in a more secluded area.
Not only do these items have great monetary value, they are also historical and have heritage value that is notable. Police believe if these items were for resale value, it would be hard for them to be sold. Police will be on the lookout for any of these items to turn up.
