Church

As reported by CTV News thrill seekers have come to the St. Joseph Oratory in Montreal looking to climb the building for social media fame.
Celine Barbeau, the Oratory spokesperson has stated that vandalism incidents have since doubled from last summer and the oratory is becoming a place of trends for people to visit and exploit rather than its' intended purpose.
Barbeau also states that the structure of the church is not safe for what these thrill seekers want to do. Montreal Police were contacted after a break-in was reported by the church security. On January 25, police arrested three male individuals who had broken into the church choir loft. The organ, of high value was located there. There was damage to the security camera and multiple doors but the organ remained untouched.
In efforts to dissuade people coming to the Oratory for thrill seeking, Barbeau stated that they posted a screen shot of the suspects to their facebook page. Reception to this action was not taken well, sparking negative feedback. The post was then removed.
Police investigation continues and more security has been hired for the Oratory.
