Vandals Target Saint-Pierre Church in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec

The Saint-Pierre Church in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec was broken into, with items stolen and the vandals damaged the interior of the church, reports Sorel-Tracy Magazine. 

The church was targeted by vandals who deliberately set off the church fire alarm. Forces arrived on the scene expecting a fire to combat, instead they saw the interior of the church damaged and items had been stolen. Police were then contacted and arrived shortly after. 

It is noted that the vandals possibly gained access to the building by a poorly locked door, and it was then realized that church lanterns had been stolen. There is video surveillance that could aid in the investigation. 

Spokesperson for the Surete Du Quebec, Sergeant Nancy Fournier, has stated that there are steps being taken to locate the suspect(s) at this time. But there have been no arrests as of yet.
