Statue and Cross Stolen from St. Francis De Sales Church in Ottawa

As reported by CTV News a statue of the Virgin Mary and several heavy brass crosses had been stolen from the St. Francis De Sales Church in Renfrew County between the days of June 17 to June 20.

The church is located about 175 kms west of downtown Ottawa on Palmer Rapids road. It is believed that the vandals made off with several large, heavy brass crosses and a large, heavy statue of the Virgin Mary. It would have taken more than one person to carry and load these items to be taken away.

The OPP has opened an investigation, however, it has been unable to proceed further and is asking the public for help in this matter.
